In the summer of 2003 PolarFLO entered into the water-cooling scene with the PolarFLO SF CPU block. This waterblock came into a market dominated by Swiftech, Danger Den, D-Tek, and Koolance and proceeded to blow them away. They took waterblock design to another level with a super smooth and super flat finish and a variety of colors ranging from gold plated to anodized blue. The combination of excellent performance along with a modders dream of color options made the PolarFLO SF CPU block an instant hit, as well as our King of the Hill. They followed the CPU block with a chipset/GPU block that performed very well, but did not have the super-finish bottom. It did, however, come in all the glorious colors as well as allowing you to pick from several different barb configurations. This block also made the GruntvillE KOTH list.
The 2 nd generation PolarFLO blocks, the TT series came out mid 2004 and quickly became very popular. Somehow, even though they do not offer the super-finish anymore, the TT blocks have consistently proven to perform even better then the older SF block. We reviewed the TT CPU block and the TT Chipset block, now it is time to look at the final piece of the puzzle, the PolarFLO TT Series GPU block. |
