Benchmarks - Open GL

COD is a first-person war game using a supercharged version of the Quake III engine. Like Battlefield, COD is primarily an online team-based game. COD takes advantage of OpenGL and with the amazing graphics has quickly become one of the favorite games of 2004. All tests were run under the 1.51 patch using the “Timedemo1.dm_2” demo.
 
 

The COD benchmarks look pretty good and I would have to say, so does the game. You could ask anyone at MillionManLan and they would say it was awesome seeing COD played at high resolutions on a 24inch widescreen monitor. I was unable to successfully run the resolution at 1920 x 1200. The card would overheat and cause the card to show large black artifacts over the screen.

 

"SPECviewperf® is a portable OpenGL performance benchmark program written in C, and developed by IBM. SPECviewperf provides a vast amount of flexibility in benchmarking OpenGL performance." More at Spec.org .

SpecViewPerf would not run. No matter what drivers or updates, it kept showing errors and would not get past the first few seconds. I cannot assume, but I don't think this was an issue with the video card itself, but the drivers in my new system.
