Well you asked for it, so now were giving it to you. This is the first in what we hope to be a long line of SFF reviews here at GruntvillE. Unfortunately I’m stuck writing this with a serious case of the flu. These are the times that you wish your reviews would just write themselves, but they don’t; I totally had to write everything your about to read. Since the IMC6375 is a barebones review I’m going to be splitting it up into two distinct reviews. One will focus on the case and functionality and the other will be focusing on system benchmarks. Anyway, getting back on track, what exactly is a SFF computer? Although it’s hard to find a definite definition of the term Small Form Factor, it’s generally a way of referring to any computer that has been packed into a case in order to use up as much of the free space as possible. Nowadays desktop real-estate is booming with competition. From USB hubs, secondary motion controllers all the way to USB coffee cup warmers. They’re all fighting and clawing for that precious space atop the gateway into our pseudo digital domain. With all these necessary devices that we simply must have at our beckon call, I know I couldn’t go a day without my USB Noodle Strainer; we’ve been forced to take space away from the very thing that draws us to our desks. With that said, let’s take a look at SkyHawkUSA’s latest offering for the SFF Barebones market, the Echo-Q IMC6375. This little guy comes packed to the gills, or should I say aluminum louvers, with features. Let’s take a look at this long list of specs. |
