If you purchased
a computer a few years ago, then you will remember the woes of days gone
past. The sticky sporadic mouse ball, the small rubbery mouse pad that
was supposed to minimize the problems of said sticky mouse ball…
Well thankfully, those times are long past. Now we have precision optical
mice (even wireless mice at that) and a wide selection of custom surfaces
to go with them. There are smooth pads, rough pads, sticky pads, metal
pads, glass pads, etc. Unfortunately now there are so many mouse pad options
that no one knows which way to turn. Well today I will be reviewing some
pads from a fairly new company that believes they have just what you need.
The company is called Xtrac
and they were founded by a small group of gaming enthusiasts in 2002.
They claim to have designed a line of mouse pads aimed at improving your
optical mouse’s performance while minimizing mouse drag. They have
kindly sent me three of their newer pads for review including their two
(very promising looking) oversized pads. So sit back and enjoy as I put
these new pads to the test for you, and we will see if they are worth
your hard earned monies…
