3DMark
2001SE is a slightly older FutureMark program, but it is still
pretty much the standard gaming benchmark for DirectX®8.1
machines. The game tests, texturing tests, filtering tests, image
quality tests, and others give you a realistic overview of your
system’s current
performance and provide a good comparison to other systems running
the same tests. DX8 |
3DMark®03 is the latest version of the 3DMark series. By combining full
DirectX®9.0a
support with completely new tests and graphics, 3DMark03 Pro continues
the legacy of being the industry standard benchmark. The high
quality game tests, image quality tests, sound tests and others
give you an extremely accurate overview of your system’s
current gaming performance. DX9

While the graphs look like there is a big difference, there
isn't. The difference in 3DMark2001 is 616 points, or about 1.6%.
Nothing that would be noticed. In 3DMark03 the margin is even smaller,
16 points, or less then 0.5%.

Gaming Benchmarks
All gaming benchmarks are run at the lowest setting to take out
as much of the VC performance as possible. These results should
not be used in comparison to the benchmarks on our video card reviews
as they're not run at even similar settings.

Unreal
Tournament 2003 is the sequel to 1999's multiple 'Game of the Year'
award winner. It uses the very lastest Unreal Technology - where
graphics, sound and gameplay are taken beyond the bleeding edge.
A fast paced shootem up FPS game where the last person you want
to run into has =GvL= in front of their name. DX8 |

As we have seen in the other gaming benchmarks, the IC7-G again
holds a very slight advantage over the 875P. At about 2%, the difference
in performance falls within the margin of error and is definitely something
that you will not be able to notice.
|
|
 |
As you can see, the IC7-G has a slight, (less then 3fps on average)
lead over the 875P, which at the rates we are talking about here
is not something your average human being can even notice.

A sci-fi shooter that takes place on a mysterious alien ring-world,
Halo: Combat Evolved will have you battling through amazing indoor
and outdoor environments, in vehicles, and on foot with the largest
arsenal of futuristic weapons, vehicles, and combat roles of any
shooter ever. The PC adaptation is based on the game's original
concept, where your objective is to uncover Halo's horrible secret,
and destroy mankind's nemesis - the Covenant. DX9 |

Halo is the one test that shows a significant difference between
the 875P and IC7-G, almost 8 frames per second, or about 15%. So,
if Halo is your game, the IC7-G is the board for you, but let's face
it, if you are playing only Halo get an Xbox.
