A gig of memory seems to be the norm with PC enthusiasts these days,
and one stick of RAM is no longer the fad or even desirable. With the
evolution of Dual Channel Memory, having 2 sticks of RAM is definitely
the way to go. I have been running my one little stick of Geil 3500 for
over a year now, but with the recent upgrades in my PC, I felt my RAM
was holding me back.
Just when I began my search for the perfect memory, I was offered some
RAM to review for GruntvillE. I'm lucky to be the first GrunT to review
Power Memory International (PMI) RAM. PMI memory is not a newcomer to
the memory market, although they recently changed focus to marketing
desktop PC RAM. PMI has been around since 1990 where they produced RAM
for high-end servers and workstations, as well as onboard memory for
video and other peripheral cards. The PMI RAM I will be reviewing today
is the PMI Turbo Memory Product line, the 1024MB DDR 400MHz PC3200 Dual
Channel (2x512MB) Platinum 2-3-2-6 .
