The box it came in is very well designed and covered with specs and information.

The heatsink comes in a nice protective plastic, but it’s not heatsealed so it opens easily. It also comes with a plethora of accessories since it offers compatibility with all current sockets including; 939, 754, 775 and 478. They also included the Zalman Fan Mate 2 in with t he package.

When the 9500 was picked up, the first thing I noticed was its weight. This sucker weighs in a 530g, but since everything is pure copper, I didn’t expect it to be light. Although this does weigh quite a bit less than some other options reviewed in the past (Aerocool DP-102) The fan that it comes with it is a nice frosted 92mm unit lit by blue LEDs. It spins at   1,350-2600 rpm and its noise level is between 18-27.5dBs. Surrounding the fan are 90 thin copper fins which offer a dissipation area of 3,698cm2  The bottom isn’t lapped to a mirror finish but does appear to be fairly flat. The concerning overclockers will probably want to lap it to achieve the best performance.
