I have owned my P4 3.06 for about 8 months now. Since I acquired this powerful processor, I have been on the quest for “The Perfect” cooling solution. I started with the ugly, bulky, boring stock HSF that was trashed after my new HSF arrived. Then I reviewed and used the Arkua 8568 Cooler. I attempted using the Vantec Aeroflow TMD fan, but due to a vibration issue it was removed immediately. The Arkua Cooler has been my primary CPU cooler.

Noise is always an issue when having three PCs in one room. Living in South East Texas, the average temperature in the house is 78-80 degrees. My P4 3.06 Ghz has 8+ fans to help keep the system cool. When I heard about this new “Silent Fan” it caught my attention. A German Company, Verax, advertises that their fans are “Super Silent”. The technology they have incorporated into the Verax fans is quite impressive. When buying a HSF, noise is considered, but more important than noise is the ability to cool. Verax sent us the P16Cu HSF. In this review we will determine if “Super Silent” can take the heat.
