What’s the story with most cooling solutions that come with video cards? It’s almost like the manufacturers just slap any old fan and/or some copper on there and call it a day. Unless you’re buying the top of the line card you end up with a cooler that’s just ‘adequate’. We all know that not a single one of us is happy with anything that is adequate. We want more. Heck, we demand more.

However, our demands sometimes fall on deaf ears. Video card manufacturers don’t want to invest in designing or providing better cooling solutions for their mid-range and value cards, just not enough profit in it when they are competing mainly on price. The good news is there are other companies out there that do hear us, like Vantec.
