The Overclockers first tool in his quest for more MHz. is their HS and
Fan combination; unless you use H2O and that’s another story. There
are hundreds of choices as of late when it comes to high performance HSF’s.
Anyone who OC's their machine is probably familiar with OCZ; they have
been making quality HSF combinations since 2000 and doing a fine job of
it I must say. My first encounter with OCZ was a year ago when GruntmaN
sold me his OCZ Goliath with a 8000rpm 60mm Delta fan, at the time I was
just getting into OCing and he said it could work wonders. I slapped it
on my Duron 1.2 and man is that thing loud but it put a cold on that chip
that allowed me to push it almost 300Mhz. This brings me to the point
of this review. I recently upgraded my whole system and bought an xp2400
and a new MB. Soon after getting it all set up Grunt calls me up and says
OCZ sent this new HSF for review I want you to try it out and compare
it to the Goliath. Of course I say no problem, I’m on my way and
this is what he handed me; the OCZ Gladiator 2.
