Every one of us is
looking for an edge, something to help us squeeze the most out of the
equipment that we have without dropping a bundle of cash; if we find something
that looks good, even better! Thinking along those lines, one of the ways
we can get better performance is from keeping our CPUs cool. This is true
whether you overclock or not; a cool running CPU will live longer and
provide a much longer trouble free state. Metal Air Studios, located in
England, has jumped into the cooling fray with a unique offering, a copper
radiator that works with your current heat sink and fan. The design comes
from their experience with slimline cases where using something akin to
the Thermalright SLK-900U is not an option.
The principle is quite
simple; the radiator is designed to help move heat from the “dead
spot” under the hub of a fan out to the edges where it will be safely
dissipated. It looks kinda cool and with claims that this simple add-on
can lower your load CPU temps by 3C, this is something that needs checked
out.
