Aluminum cases seem to be where all the hype is today; especially for
people who like to attend LANs. Picking up a bulky, steel case combined
with the weight of high end components can become a chore. Some steel
cases alone weigh over 34 pounds. Even for PC enthusiasts that do not
attend LANs, aluminum cases have many benefits and options.
Everyone
from the email checkers to the hardcore gamers likes to have windows
in their computers now. Being able to see the inner workings of a computer,
(even if you don't know what most of the parts do), is cool. Case manufacturers
are now taking advantage and designing optional/non-optional windows
in most product lines. You see acrylic windows on plain beige computers
and crazy, cathode lit computers. Today, I have the pleasure of reviewing
an aluminum midtower, the Kingwin KT-424-BK-WM. Kingwin is making aluminum
cases under the hundred dollar mark which makes is a good deal compared
to similar looking aluminum & steel cases. Let's
get to the review and see how good of a deal this case is…
