Power Supplies are no stranger to innovation. In recent years they have come to the forefront as a moddable canvas for many. Usually the first thing a modder does before installing a PSU into the PC is to tie all of those clunky messy wires into fixed non-air restricting tubes. This usually entails removing the molex connectors and finishing the ends off with some heat shrink. But innovation does not stop. Power supply manufacturers have taken notice to this once overlooked hardware essential and have added personalized touches to entice computer enthusiasts to PSUs slick appearance. From adding windows to multi colored fans, hardware manufacturers try to out do each other to reach the perfect balance of visual appeal and performance without making the mistake of overdoing it. One of the new "favorite" additions to most new power supplies is modular connectors which allow a builder to only use the necessary amount of connectors. Eagle Technology has sent us a new contender to the 500W+ crowd of PSUs with their Skyhawk Power One.
