| Sorry
for the delay on this round, I'm sure many of you will agree with
our pics. As always, feel free to leave us a comment on your thoughts
for King of the Hill (KOTH) and we'll be happy to tell you why not
or change it if we're wrong. We're never wrong though.
If
you think there is a category missing, or a product that is better
then one listed, let us know. If you can convince us there is something
better, we will change the list.
So
take a look around and make your shopping list, just make sure you
got a fat wallet and high credit limit, 'cause we don't bother looking
at price when it comes to the King of the Hill. |

Intel manages
to take the performance crown for the second time in a row with the new
Quad core. The Core 2 Extreme Edition X6800 has blown the doors off the
Athlon 64 FX series and the quad just fuels the flame. The entire Intel
lineup has knocked AMD back a notch. AMD's arn't slouches by any means
but they certainly have some work to do to get their KOTH seast back.

Man, this
category keeps me busy. NVIDIA is the first to release a DX10 card and
it simply blows every other video card away. In fact, it's faster than
two 7900GTXs in SLI!

category is a really tight race right now. Leave it to Asus to make sure
they get the winner's circle with extras. This board features the nVidia

on the I/O panel and LED lights for the PCI slots to make hooking up at
the LAN a breeze.

Asus has
out done themselves with this new version of the ever popular A8N-SLI;
literally! This board offers SLI with twin 16 lane SLI slots vs the twin
8 lanes of its predecessor. It's not the best overclocker out there but
it certainly ain't bad either.
Note:
Serious overclockers should look into the DFI-SLI-DR!

has finally unearthed the Thermalright series of coolers. The 9700 series
is unstoppable in performance and noise. Size may be an issue for some,
but that is nothing new to the readers of KOTH. The 9700 is nickel plated

Water Pump |

Danger
Den DD5 12v |
Danger
Den has long been respected as a pioneer in water cooling your PC, and
for good reason; they make good stuff. The latest wave to hit the water
cooling scene is 12v pumps that can run off the computer power supply.
No longer do you need to worry about remembering to turn on the pump or
have an extra power cable hanging out. And now, with products like the
DD5, the 12v pumps are just as powerful (or more so) and durable as their
120v cousins, they are making a big splash. The DD5 adds a pot to adjust
the flow.
